Castlemeats (“we”, “us”) of 32 Main St, Chapel Quarter, Castleisland, Co. Kerry, V92 C8V0 is the data controller for personal data collected through this website. This policy explains what we collect, why, how long we keep it and your rights under GDPR and Irish data protection law.

What we collect and why

Enquiries (contact form). Your name, email address, phone number, location and message. We use these only to reply to your enquiry about catering, bar hire or any other service. Legal basis: taking steps at your request before entering a contract, and our legitimate interest in answering questions. We keep enquiries for up to 24 months.

School lunch orders. When a parent or student orders a school lunch we collect the student’s name, class and school, what was ordered, the collection time or delivery choice, any allergy or dietary note you add, the order total and whether it has been paid. Because this relates to children, please only enter the details needed to prepare and deliver the right lunch. We use it to make, deliver and charge for the order and to keep the kitchen’s daily order sheet. Legal basis: performance of the order. We keep school order records for 12 months so we can answer queries and issue receipts, then delete them.

Payments. Card payments are processed by Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd. Your card details are entered on Stripe’s secure page and never reach our website or our staff. We receive only confirmation of payment and the amount. Stripe acts as an independent controller for that processing; see stripe.com/ie/privacy.

Email. Enquiry and order notification emails are sent through our email delivery provider (Brevo). They see the address and message content needed to deliver the email.

Cookies

This site uses only the cookies it needs to work (for example keeping our staff signed in to the order dashboard). We do not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes we will ask for your consent first.

Who sees your data

Our staff, our website host (Cloudflare), Stripe and Brevo, each only for the purposes above. We do not sell personal data.

Your rights

You can ask to see, correct or delete the personal data we hold about you, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy of it. To do so, email castlemeats101@gmail.com or call 066 714 1135. If you are unhappy with our response you can complain to the Data Protection Commission at dataprotection.ie.
